The nearest airport and railway station is in Guwahati. Baghmara is 320
km and 345 km from GBI airport, Guwahati and Guwahati railway station
respectively.
Public Transport
Only one overnight bus service is available from Guwahati to Baghmara.
There are regular overnight buses available to Tura. (Nearest town which is
well connected to Baghmara).Buses start from ISBT, Guwahati at 8.30 pm which
reach Tura at 4 am and Baghmara at 9:00 am respectively. A bus ticket will
cost Rs 250 and Rs 320 per person for Tura and Baghmara respectively. You
will get ticket either from ISBT, Guwahati or Bharalumukh, Guwahati (No. 8
gate). For ISBT city buses and autos are available at Guwahati Paltan Bazaz.
Cheapest mode to reach ISBT is city bus. It cost you Rs. 20 per person.
The direct night bus reaches Baghmara at 9:30 am in the next day. Get
down at the Baghmara super market bus stand. Our representative will be there
to receive you.
If you travelling to Tura instead of Baghmara, (as the Baghmara night
buses are not so regular) get down at the Tura and come to the Tura super
market which is 300 m away from the bus stand. At Super market, there is a Garo
Hills travel agency for daily shared taxi (sumo) service for Baghmara. The
ticket cost you Rs.150 per person. Counter is open at 5 o’clock. Please get
your ticket earlier as possible because there are only three four daily shared
Taxi run on a day. The distance from Tura to Baghmara is about 106 km which will
take 3:15 hour’s drive. Shared taxis arrive at Baghmara around 9:30 am. Get
down at the Baghmara Super market. Our representative will be there to receive
you.

Alternatively, daily shared taxi services available from Guwahati to
Tura which is depart at 6 am and 2 pm. You will get the ticket from Bharalumukh
which will cost you Rs. 300-360 per person. Daily shared taxi services are start
from Bharalumukh, Guwahati. It is 6 hours travelling. It reaches Tura in
between 11:30am-12:00 am. If shared taxi reaches at time to Tura you will get
the shared taxi for Baghmara. Last shared taxi to Baghmara is around 12:30 and
sometimes 1:00 pm. If you missed you have to hold one night at Tura and next
day morning by 6 am shared taxi you can come to Baghmara. There are
several hotels near the Tura super market.

If you coming by 2 pm shared taxi from Guwahati then you have to stay
one night at Tura as it reached Tura at 7:30 pm and next morning by 6 am shared

Apart from the daily shared taxi there are several private and public
bus services for Baghmara from Tura. The buses start at 5:00 am from the Tura
super market. Afterward for the bus service for Baghmara you have to come to
the Tura public bus stand which is 2 km away from the Tura super market. In bus
it takes 5 hours to reach Baghmara.
Private Transport
Taxi for Baghmara (TATA sumo, Indica, Alto, etc) is available from
Paltan-Bazaar, Guwahati. One way cost for a full taxi (Tata Indica) from
Guwahati to Baghmara is Rs 4,500/. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi on a
daily basis @ Rs 1200-1500/- per day plus fuel costs. Better option is to
hire the taxi on daily basis.
